Financial Heritage, a member of NRMLA, National Reverse
Mortgage Lenders Association, adheres to the highest ethical standards
and is dedicated to fair, objective and honest dealings with the senior
market and their advisors. We subscribe to the NRMLA Code of Conduct and
Best Practices Standards created to protect seniors from predatory
lending practices. To that end, Financial Heritage has incorporated the
following consumer safeguards into our standard business practices.
· Our Loan Representatives and Advisors
provide each senior borrower with a document that clearly
illustrates all products and benefit options available to that
senior.
· We encourage all of the senior
borrower’s personal advisors, both personal and professional, to
discuss with our loan representatives or Advisors the needs and
options available to that senior.
· HUD approved specially trained
independent counselors will provide the senior borrower with an
objective review of the product.
· Our Processing Department reviews the
program and product choice by the senior borrower prior to
submission to Underwriting.
· Our Underwriters then conduct a
secondary review of the loan submission, program and product
selection.
· After closing, a customer
satisfaction survey is mailed to each senior borrower to obtain
an opinion and comments on the loan process.
These practices are intended to assure that senior borrowers and
their personal advisors are provided with objective, complete, and
honest information to assist them in selecting the right reverse
mortgage program and product options.
